  • 8 tbsp paprika Use sweet or hot depending on preference. Look for high-quality, non-GMO paprika.
  • 2 tbsp smoked paprika Adds smoky depth. Can double regular paprika if smoked paprika is unavailable.
  • 1 tbsp cayenne pepper Adjust according to desired heat level.
  • 2 tbsp onion powder Enhances sweetness.
  • 2 tbsp ground cumin Provides an earthy note.
  • 1 tbsp garlic powder Can substitute with fresh garlic (about four minced cloves).
  • 1 tbsp dried oregano Adds a fresh herbal note.
  • 1 tbsp kosher salt Essential for flavor; can substitute with sea salt.
  • 2 tsp ground coriander Adds a citrusy touch.

Preparation
  1. In a medium bowl, combine all the ground spices, starting with paprika and layering in the rest for even distribution.
  2. Taste the blend and adjust as needed; add more cayenne for heat or paprika to balance saltiness.
  3. Transfer the finished seasoning to an airtight jar or spice container and label it with the date.

Notes

Store in a cool, dark place, ideally using dark glass jars to protect from light. This blend can last up to 6 months.
