Preparation
- Microwave the flour on high in a microwave-safe bowl for 1 minute 30 seconds, stirring every 30 seconds to ensure it's safe to eat. Alternatively, spread it on a baking sheet and bake at 350°F for 5-10 minutes until it reaches an internal temperature of 160ºF.
- In a mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Add in the vanilla and milk, blending until smooth.
- Gradually stir in the pre-cooked flour and salt, followed by folding in the chocolate chips. Chill the mixture for about 10 minutes.
Forming and Coating
- Once the mixture is chilled, roll the dough into small balls (about 1 inch in size) and place them on a lined baking sheet. Freeze for 15 minutes to set.
- In a microwave-safe bowl, microwave chocolate chips and oil at 50% power, stirring every 30 seconds until melted and smooth. Alternatively, use a double boiler to melt the chocolate.
- Dip each chilled dough bite into the melted chocolate until fully coated. Place them back on the lined baking sheet to set.
- Refrigerate the coated bites until the chocolate sets, which should take about 10 minutes.
