- Melt the chocolate: In a heat-proof bowl over a pot of simmering water, gently melt the chopped chocolate, stirring occasionally for about 5-7 minutes.
- Blend the tofu: While the chocolate melts, place the tofu, sugar, flavourings, and salt into a food processor or blender. Blend until completely smooth, about 2-3 minutes.
- Combine: Once the chocolate is melted, gradually whisk it into the tofu mixture, ensuring they blend well together.
- Add air (optional): For a fluffier mousse, beat the combined mixture with an electric mixer for about 2-3 minutes until lighter and airy.
- Chill: Portion the mousse into serving dishes and chill for at least 2 hours before serving.
- Serve: Top generously with fresh fruit, crumbled cookies, or cake cubes.
Notes
For best flavor, use a premium brand of chocolate. Ensure your tofu is at room temperature for easier blending. This mousse can be made a day in advance.
