Preparation
- Peel and dice the apples and onion. Mince the ginger and chop the sage.
Cooking
- In a large skillet, heat the avocado oil over medium-high heat.
- Add the ground turkey to the skillet, sprinkle with 1 tsp of sea salt, and cook for 8-10 minutes, breaking apart as it browns.
- Once cooked through, transfer the turkey to a bowl and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add olive oil and the chopped onion with remaining sea salt. Cook until translucent, about 5 minutes.
- Toss in the diced apples and cook for approximately 10 minutes until softened but not mushy.
- Return the cooked turkey to the skillet, add the minced ginger, and stir to combine. Cook for an additional 2 minutes.
- Remove from heat and stir in the chopped sage.
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to three days. Reheat gently. Consider pairing with sliced avocados or sautéed greens.
