Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream, chilled The colder the cream, the better it whips.
  • 1/4 cup eggnog, chilled Use your favorite store-bought or homemade eggnog.
  • 1/4 cup confectioners' sugar Can be substituted with maple syrup or a sugar alternative.
  • 1/2 teaspoon freshly grated nutmeg Fresh spices enhance the flavor; you can also use cinnamon or ginger.

Method

Preparation
  1. Chill your mixing bowl and whisk attachment in the freezer for about 10-15 minutes.
  2. In the chilled bowl, add 1 cup heavy whipping cream and mix at low speed, gradually increasing to medium speed until it begins to thicken (1-2 minutes).
  3. Once the cream has thickened slightly, slowly add in 1/4 cup chilled eggnog, beating until just combined (20-30 seconds).
  4. Gradually add 1/4 cup confectioners' sugar and 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg, then resume mixing, starting on low speed and increasing to medium-high.
  5. Whip until the cream thickens and forms stiff peaks, being careful not to over-mix (1-2 minutes).
