Preparation
- Preheat grill to medium-high heat (about 400°F). Clean and oil the grill grates.
- Pat the salmon fillets dry and brush both sides with olive oil.
- Combine kosher salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and smoked paprika in a bowl, and season the salmon fillets.
Grilling
- For skin-on fillets, grill skin side down for 6-8 minutes without moving. For skinless fillets, grill for 4-5 minutes per side.
Herb Drizzle (Optional)
- Mix extra virgin olive oil, lemon juice, lemon zest, chopped herbs, and a pinch of salt in a bowl.
Serving
- Remove salmon from grill, let rest for a couple of minutes, serve with herb drizzle.
Notes
Ensure salmon is at room temperature before grilling. Use a kitchen thermometer to check for doneness (145°F). Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 3 days, refrigerate in an airtight container.
