  • 4 ounces Bourbon Quality bourbon recommended.
  • 8 ounces Ginger beer Divided between glasses; use quality brands.
  • Ice For shaking and serving.
  • 2-3 pieces Frozen blackberries for garnish Freeze ahead of time for an added touch.
  • 2-3 pieces Lime wedges for garnish Add color to the presentation.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Skewer 2 to 3 fresh blackberries onto toothpicks. Place in the freezer for at least 2 hours.
  2. In a cocktail shaker, add ½ cup of fresh blackberries, lime juice, and sugar. Muddle until juices are released.
  3. Add bourbon and a handful of ice. Shake vigorously for about 15 seconds.
  4. Fill lowball glasses with ice.
  5. Strain mixture into glasses, ensuring no seeds get through.
  6. Top each drink with ginger beer and stir gently.
  7. Garnish with frozen blackberries and a lime wedge.
  8. Serve immediately for the best frosty experience.

Notes

Use fresh, ripe blackberries for the best flavor. The mixture keeps in the fridge for up to 2 days.
