Ingredients

For the Yogurt Base
  • 1 1/4 cups plain Greek yogurt Full-fat is creamiest, but low-fat can be used.
  • 3/4 cup chocolate protein powder Look for brands with minimal sugar additives.
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons cocoa powder Unsweetened is best for a rich flavor.
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla essence Use pure extract for the best flavor.
  • 1 tablespoon peanut butter Natural peanut butter is recommended.
  • 2 teaspoons maple syrup Adjust sweetness based on preference.
  • pinch salt Enhances all flavors.
For the Toppings
  • 1 cup mixed berries Includes blueberries, strawberries, and raspberries.
  • 1 banana sliced into 1/4-inch rounds
  • 1/2 cup granola Choose a quality brand or make your own.
  • 2 tablespoons hemp seeds
  • 2 tablespoons chia seeds
  • 1/4 cup nuts Almonds, walnuts, or hazelnuts work well.
  • 1/4 cup chocolate chips Optional; choose dark chocolate for less sugar.

Method

Preparation
  1. Let your yogurt sit at room temperature for about 10 minutes to make it easier to mix.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine Greek yogurt, chocolate protein powder, sifted cocoa powder, vanilla essence, peanut butter, maple syrup, and a pinch of salt. Whisk together until completely smooth and creamy—about 2-3 minutes.
  3. If your yogurt is too thick, add a splash of milk to loosen it up—just a tablespoon at a time.
  4. Slice your bananas into 1/4-inch rounds and measure out your berries, granola, seeds, and nuts while the chocolate base is prepared.
Assembly
  1. Scoop the chocolate yogurt base into your serving bowl.
  2. Layer on the toppings: start with berries and banana slices, drizzle peanut butter over them, then sprinkle granola and finish with hemp seeds, chia seeds, and any desired nuts or chocolate chips.
  3. Enjoy immediately for the best taste and texture!

Notes

Store leftover yogurt in the fridge for up to 2 days in an airtight container. Prepare the yogurt base a day ahead if desired, just stir before serving. Avoid over-mixing the yogurt, which can make it runny.
