Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 4 pieces pork chops (¾-1 inch thick, boneless or bone-in) Choose thick-cut chops for best juiciness.
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar Adds caramelized sweetness.
  • 2 tsp paprika For a subtle smoky flavor; use smoked paprika for a bolder taste.
  • 2 tsp garlic powder Enhances aroma.
  • 1.5 tsp kosher salt Essential for flavor enhancement.
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper Freshly ground is best.
  • 0.5 tsp cayenne pepper (optional) Adds heat; adjust to preference.
  • 2 tbsp olive oil Extra virgin recommended for flavor.

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat the Broiler to 500°F and position the oven rack 4–6 inches from the heating element.
  2. In a small bowl, combine brown sugar, paprika, garlic powder, kosher salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper if desired. Mix thoroughly.
  3. Drizzle olive oil over the pork chops and rub the seasoning mix generously on both sides.
Cooking
  1. Place the seasoned pork chops on a baking sheet. Broil for 3 minutes, then rotate the baking sheet and broil for another 3 minutes.
  2. Check the internal temperature of the pork chops. If it’s around 140-145°F, remove them. If not, flip and broil for an additional 1-2 minutes.
Serving
  1. Allow the pork chops to rest for about 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

For deeper flavor, consider marinating pork chops in the seasoning mix for a few hours. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for 3-4 days.
