Ingredients

Noodles and Base Ingredients
  • 1 package ramen noodles (discard the flavor packet) Use any brand, prefer Nissin for its texture.
  • 1.5 tablespoons butter Room temperature butter melts best, Kerrygold is recommended.
  • 1 teaspoon garlic (freshly minced) Fresh is always better than garlic powder.
  • 0.75 teaspoon red pepper flakes Adjust based on spice tolerance.
  • 1 teaspoon brown sugar A slight sweetness; coconut sugar is a healthier substitute.
  • 1.5 tablespoons soy sauce Low-sodium option is good for lower salt intake.
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil Use toasted sesame oil for a nuttier flavor.
  • 1 egg egg Adds protein and creaminess when scrambled.
  • 1 teaspoon everything bagel seasoning Perfect finishing touch for texture.

Method

Preparation
  1. Start by bringing a pot of water to a boil. Cook the ramen noodles according to package directions, about 3-4 minutes. Drain and set aside.
  2. Preheat your Blackstone griddle to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.
Cooking
  1. Add the butter to the hot griddle center. Let it melt, then add the minced garlic and red pepper flakes. Stir until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  2. Stir in the brown sugar, then the soy sauce and sesame oil. Mix until glossy.
  3. Add the cooked noodles and stir to coat in the sauce. Cook for 2-3 minutes, pressing flat against the griddle.
  4. Increase heat to 450 degrees Fahrenheit. Push noodles to one side and scramble the egg on the other until mostly cooked, then fold into the noodles.
  5. Transfer noodles to a serving bowl, sprinkle with everything bagel seasoning, toss gently, and serve immediately.

Notes

Leftovers can be stored for up to 3 days. Reheat in the microwave or griddle with butter. Customize with veggies or proteins, and adjust spice levels to taste.
