Ingredients

Meatloaf Ingredients
  • 1 lb ground turkey Look for organic or free-range for the best flavor and texture
  • 1 piece egg Make sure it’s at room temperature for better mixing
  • 3/4 cup gluten-free panko breadcrumbs Can substitute with regular breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup onion Finely diced, for that sweet bite
  • 1.5 tsp garlic Minced; fresh provides great depth
  • 1/2 tsp Italian seasoning Adds a lovely herbaceous note
  • 1/2 tsp pepper Freshly ground is best
  • 1/2 tsp salt Adjust to your preference
  • 1/4 tsp smoked paprika The secret component that enhances flavor
  • 1/4 cup milk Dairy or a dairy-free option works here
  • 2 tbsp ketchup Classic touch for moisture
  • 2 tbsp steak sauce Adds a fantastic umami punch
  • 2 tbsp ketchup For glaze
  • 2 tbsp steak sauce For glaze

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 375 degrees F and line a baking sheet or loaf pan with foil for easy cleanup.
  2. Finely dice the onion and set it aside.
  3. In a small bowl, measure out the breadcrumbs, garlic, Italian seasoning, pepper, salt, and smoked paprika.
  4. In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground turkey, egg, and milk. Mix until well combined. Add the diced onion, followed by the dry ingredients mix. Use clean hands for the quickest and most effective mixing!
  5. Transfer the mixture to your prepared baking sheet and shape it into a loaf.
  6. In a separate bowl, combine the remaining ketchup and steak sauce. Spread this mixture evenly over the formed meatloaf.
Baking
  1. Place the meatloaf in the preheated oven and bake for 50-60 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 165 degrees F.
  2. Let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing.

Notes

Always choose fresh ingredients when possible. You can store the meatloaf in the fridge for up to 4 days or freeze for up to 3 months.
